In 2019, the Panda Group of Companies launched the "Korsun Eco Energo" biogas unit with a total capacity of 7.5 MW/h, which operates on raw materials (pulp, molasses and corn silage) from its own sugar factories and lands.
The application of biotechnology makes it possible to use renewable energy in the production cycle. Energy production from biogas is not harmful to the environment, as it does not cause additional greenhouse gas emissions and reduces the amount of organic waste. Unlike wind energy and solar radiation, biogas can be produced regardless of climatic and weather conditions.
The biogas complex reduces the manmade load on the environment and in general has a positive economic and social impact on the region.
